General Warranty Exclusions and Liability Waiver


1. The specification of an electronic security system is not in any way a guarantee or insurance against any crime peril event or subsequent losses sustained as a result of burglary,  intrusion or any other act against the area specified. Such specification must be under-pinned by a suitable “people process” supported by relevant and enforced SOP’s effective measured for compliance. The installation of any security system is not in any way a guarantee or insurance against burglary or crime peril event or subsequent losses sustained as a result of burglary or intrusion. Failure of any security system to activate or go into an alarm condition in the event of an intrusion, from whatever cause whatsoever, is not NSCSSA’s responsibility and no liability is implied or accepted for such failure.

2. The installation of any access control system is not in any way a guarantee against unauthorized access or any potential losses directly related to such unauthorized access, in particular where the access system is managed by human intervention or access is allowed by remote release of locking mechanisms.

3. Failure to carry out routine maintenance, negligence, foliage overgrowth, Acts of God, fair wear & tear, lightning strikes or damage arising from malicious intent is also excluded from the Warranty.

4. Any and all batteries installed in the systems are expressly excluded from warranty.

5. Any and all lighting lamps installed in the systems are expressly excluded from the Warranty.

6. Work carried out on used equipment and/or accessories, cabling etc. carry a workmanship warranty of three (3) months on the affected elements ONLY. Ancillary equipment associated with or connected to equipment worked on, but not part of this quotation, is NOT covered by this Warranty.

7. Installations of 3rd party equipment (not supplied by NSCSSA) – warranty cover is limited to the installation and cabling (if applicable) elements ONLY.

8. Service calls relating to repairs or replacement of equipment and/or components excluded from our Warranty shall be charged as normal services and labour will also be charged.

9. NSCSSA reserves its rights in all matters pertaining to Warranty Claims.

10. All goods and services remain the property of NSCSSA until paid for in full.

11. The NSCSSA Warranty will only be honoured once all outstanding accounts due by the client are paid in full.


The following items are specifically excluded:


Damage as a result of crime peril, malicious damage, Act of God or failure as a result of environmental causes and cable failure as a result of vermin damage, all power supplies and batteries. Incidental costs in honouring the manufacturer’s warranty are also specifically excluded.


Payment Terms


1. All work done will result in an invoice generated and payable on submission (COD).

2. Interest is levied at the bank prescribed rates after three days, compound and capitalized monthly.

3. All components supplied remain the property of NSCSSA until paid for and may be removed if not paid for.

4. A deposit may be required prior to commencement of any installation or work request and will be calculated on the cost of material cover principle.

5. Progress payments will be required based on percentage works completion for project exceeding R 50 000.00.

6. The balance of payment is due after commissioning, upon presentation of invoice. Progress or part payments may be requested if any delays in works execution or standing time are experienced.

7. Account clients and contract clients’ standard payments terms are accepted only where stipulated and agreed to. This will be subject to a separate cost and fee structure to accommodate the extended payment terms.

8. Payments are to be made in South African Rand.



Technical Conditions


1. Standing time will be billed at our normal rates. Standing time is defined as any non-constructive time as a result of the lack of infrastructure or service that is deemed a dependency for the completion of the installation or repair. Similarly any travelling and / or accommodation required as a result of such inability to complete the installation will be billed as a variation order.

2. NSCSSAshall not be responsible for any faulty equipment belonging to the client that we are required to work on or integrate with the quoted installation. Any quotation specifically excludes works completion based on the integration of such equipment and works completion is deemed to be installation of the equipment quoted for only. In the event of any dependency to the installation not provided by the client and the installation per quote has been completed, this will be considered full works completion.

3. Where measured units are not quoted for, the measurement on site will be considered as a variation order to this quote and will be added to the total invoice value of the installation.

4. Works completion based on 3rd-party dependencies will be considered full works completion or will be progress billed.
